Hello! I am Becky Payne, the owner of Becky's Skincare and Bodywork! I opened my studio in 2013 and it has been growing ever since! I offer a range of modalities, including, Massage Therapy, Yoga, Reiki, Intuitive Healing and Skincare.  I am so grateful that my passion for teaching others how to heal and care for themselves has become my career.  This is a way of life for me, not just a job.  Allow me to guide you back home to yourself and teach you tools for self care. I consider myself a true "Mainer", as I have lived here all my life! I have a bachelors degree in Social and Behavioral Science with a minor in Women's Studies from the University of Southern Maine.  I then went on to receive my Massage Therapist Certification at SpaTech in 2007 to which I then returned in 2012 for my Aesthetician Certificate. Through out my bodywork and skincare training I also became a Reiki Master in 2014 and completed my Yoga Teacher Training at Breathing Room in South Portland in 2014. I then when on to further my Yoga knowledge and became certified in Yoga Nidra and Yin Yoga.

I think what makes my services unique is that I have many different modalities that I can use to create a personalized treatment for each client. I love combining my services to be able to offer you what you truly need that day.  I would be honored to have you as a client! If you have any questions for me, please e-mail me at becky@beckysskincareandbodywork.com.

I look forward to connecting with you soon!

Be Well,

Becky :)

Hello! I am a licensed massage therapist in the State of Maine (License #MT6068). I received my training at the Therapeutic Bodywork Learning Center in Brewer, Maine. Massage practice adds to my lifelong study of human health and the effects of stress on well being. I previously studied and earned degrees in health education and psychology and wholeheartedly believe that investing in effective stress management, or self-care practices on a regular basis is one of the most powerful tools we have for living an enjoyable and fulfilling life.

Massage therapy has many benefits, but my personal favorite is that it serves as a reminder, even if just temporarily, of what your body, and mind, feel like in the absence of accumulated daily stress. The cumulative effect of the stress in our daily lives often shows itself in physical holding patterns, such as elevated shoulders, clenched jaw, and head and shoulders curved forward. That all begins to uncoil during the massage session as you return to your relaxed state and your true self. While your life stressors may not go away in the hour you are on the massage table, it is quite possible that with regular self-care you will begin to approach them in a different way.

If massage therapy is part of your wellness or stress management plan, or you think it should be, I hope to see you soon! Whether your goal is to experience deep relaxation through a Swedish/Relaxation massage or you're hoping to address specific areas of tightness or discomfort through Therapeutic/Deep Tissue massage, I very much look forward to working with you to create a space where you can focus on achieving your optimal well being.

Thanks :)

Lori

Amelia is a believer in the magic and necessity of play. She has been integrating play and mindfulness into her practice for over a decade, and loves to introduce (or reintroduce) people to the hula hoop. Amelia began practicing yoga in 2006 and found it to be the balancing, grounding thing she had been craving. In 2010, she completed a 200 hour Kripalu Yoga Teacher Training, and while in training she was introduced to Thai Yoga Massage. Her attraction to the playful nature of it sent her down a bodywork rabbit hole. Amelia attended Spa Tech Institute from 2012 to 2013 and graduated from both the Holistic Massage and Advanced Polarity Therapy programs. In 2017, she completed an advanced 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training with ShivaShakti School of Yoga that included techniques in Thai Massage, Pranayama and Meditation, and Children’s Yoga. Whether her clients are looking for more therapeutic work or an energetically based session, Amelia’s offering is to have them walk away feeling lighter than when they arrived. Her modalities include: Deep Tissue Thai Yoga Massage Polarity Therapy Reflexology Trigger Point Reiki Pre and Post Natal Marma AromaTouch Technique Crystal Work.
